Website: Canadian Geoexchange Coalition




Context:
The canadian GeoExchange Coalition (CGC) is a dynamic organisation acting in a highly evolutive industry. Their efforts aims to expand the market of geoexchange in Canada.The CGC had a website with different problems preventing the coalition from achieving their objectives:- a non-adapted graphical design that did not conform to the coalition's colors.; this had an immediate impact on the image recognition;
- the difficulty of consulting the content due to the graphical design and an improper use of space within the pages;
- A fixed structure which does not follow the rapid development of the organization;
- difficulties to update the website content;
- and a source code and an organization which were not optimized for search engines (SEO).
Our solution:
To make up for those shortcomings, we have been able to offer appropriate responses as:
- The creation of an original graphical design that follows the CGC's colors. We particularly stressed on the simplicity of the design to let the visitors focus on the content. The latter is very important for a website mainly informative as CGC's website.
- The setup of our content management software "Anix" La mise en place de notre logiciel de gestion de contenu "Anix" that was able to meet all the requirements of CCEG in terms of flexibility and ease of update;
- Optimization of the page's structure and website's hierarchy for better results in search engines.
- Setup of referral tools and collaborative tools as ressource suggestion, send pages to a friend, RSS feeds,...
- The entire website conforms to the highest internet standards: CHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.0.
Results:
Since the lunch of the website, we had several positive reviews from CGC's staff and visitors who are actors in the industry and needed access to the information provided by CGC.Thank's to our effective planning and good referral startegy, CGC's website increased it's weight on the Internet (Page Rank), ranks well for CGC's main keywords and their audience (unique visitors) has increased by 50% within the first month of the new website's activity.
